Walking tours provide an opportunity to explore the city, its history, culture and modern life. Kiev is very green city, so walks quite are not tedious.
Walking tour “Ancient Kiev” (duration 2 hours). The meeting place is near the metro station “University”. Includes visits of such places as St. Vladimir’s Cathedral, Taras Shevchenko University, Teacher’s House, Opera and Ballet Theatre, Golden Gate, a monument of Hedgehog in the Fog, St. Sofia’s Square, St. Michael’s Monastery, Old Kiev Hill, St. Andrew’s Church. This tour leads along the main and the oldest streets of the city. After the tour you can visit St. Sophia Cathedral which is 1000 years old.
Walking tour “Ancient Kiev and St. Andrew’s Descent” (duration – 3 hours). The meeting place is near the metro station “University”. The route offers a wider acquaintance with the ancient historical part of Kiev. We visit all all listed in the previous two-hour and continue to walk on the St. Andrew’s descent. This is one of the oldest streets, which connects the two parts of the city – the Upper Town hem. Pay attention to the Castle of Richard the Lionheart, the hills of Uzdyhalnitsya and Horivitsa, Bulgakov House-Museum, Kontraktova Square. After the tour you may visit the museum of writer Michail Bulgakov and order a tea party on the veranda. Next object is the Museum of one street, which tells about the history and the inhabitants’ of Andrew’s descent.
Walking tour “Ancient Kyiv, Andrew’s descent, and Podil” (duration – 4 hours). The meeting place is near the metro station “University”. This tour allows you to stroll leisurely through the historic center of the city. This tour includes visits all places of previous tour as well as Kontraktova Square, Protection Church, Church of Our Lady Pirogoscha, Frolovskiy nunnery, the church of St. Nicholas Pritiska, House of Peter the Great, the Museum of Chernobyl, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. During the tour you can take a short break to rest.
Walking tour “Andrew’s descent and Podil” (duration – 3 hours). The meeting is near St. Andrew’s Church. Typically, this tour is a continuation of “Ancient Kiev”. It includes visits of such places as Old Kiev Hill, St. Andrew’s Church, St. Andrew’s Descent, Castle of Richard the Lionheart, the house-museum of writer Michael Bulgakov, Kontraktova Square, Church of the Intercession, Church of Our Lady Pirogoscha, Frolovskiy nunnery, the church of St. Nicholas Pritiska, House of Peter the Great, the Museum of Chernobyl, Kyiv- Mohyla Academy, Church of St. Nicholas, St. Elias Church.
Walking tour “Architecture and parks of Pechersk” (duration – 3 hours). Meeting at Independence square. The excursion to the historic area of the city which has always been considered an elite and prestigious. There are many government institutions here. After the Revolution of Dignity (2014) this place has become symbolic: near the memorial to the Heroes of Heaven Hundreds difficult to hide the tears. Places to visit: House with chimeras (from the side of Ivan Franko park), the National Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Mariinsky park, Bridge of Love, the Mariinsky Palace, the Verkhovna Rada, the factory Arsenal Park of Eternal Glory, the monument to Leonid Bykov, a monument to victims of Famine 1933.
